At Your Service
We are located in sunny Southern California on a 20 acre property in San Diego
Eight breeding females all CH/GRCH, hunt titled, and fully health tested (as are all sires)
We produce 30-50 pups a year, health & genetice guaranteed all are evaluated for conformation as well as temperament by independent professionals
Over the last 14 years we have developed tests and exposures to puppies environments they will experience; including swimming, birds, tracking and children
Byrnie, our Flatbrook foundation dog, was a companion and family dog first. Loving and loyal, friendly but aloof with strangers, gentle, respectful and bold. Byrnie was impressive and handsome, standing 24” at the shoulders. He had a large head in the French style and a full, dense coat that makes him appear bigger than his seventy pounds.
In the field, Byrnie was great companion. He ran a bit bigger than the normal Griff, with the wonderful stamina of a true versatile dog. He had a great nose, superior pointing instinct, prey driven and almost always, a strong desire to please. He earned his AKC SH and NAVHDA Utility Prize II (177 points) and two Prize III’s (184 points and 176 points).
Our goals and beliefs.
Our goal at Flatbrook is to have fun with our dogs, while exploring their versatile potential, whether hunting in the field or blind, showing in the ring or cuddled up by our feet.
Up and coming...
We are so grateful to you for our Molly (who turned 4 in August). She's been the perfect dog for us.
Hi! We are new here... I just got my first Griffon after seven years of admiring them. This is my 15 week old pup Sarge (Capstone's Sergeant Willie Mays of Flatbrook). Richard Byrne of Flatbrook Sporting Dogs paired me with the perfect little guy!
